Quick check
iPhone: Settings → General → About. If you see a section called “Digital SIM” or “Available SIM”, you have eSIM.
Android: dial *#06#. If an EID number appears, you have eSIM.
Unlocked? iPhone: Settings → General → About → Carrier Lock should say “No SIM restrictions”.
Apple iPhone
iPhone XR, XS and every model since (11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 series, SE 2020 and 2022). iPhones bought in mainland China, Hong Kong or Macau usually do not support eSIM.
Samsung Galaxy
Galaxy S20 and newer, Z Fold and Z Flip (all), Note 20, A54 and newer A5x models. Some US carrier and Korean models are locked.
Google Pixel
Pixel 3 and newer (Pixel 3a from Japan excluded).
Others
Motorola Razr and Edge 2022+, OnePlus 11 and newer, Xiaomi 12T Pro and 13 series and newer, Oppo Find X3 Pro and newer, Huawei P40 and Mate 40 Pro.
